Marks’ research interests generally focus on the more effective, efficient and equitable ways of managing coastal and marine environments. This activity encompasses projects in the following research disciplines: oceanography, climate adaptation, coastal processes, fisheries and aquaculture management, asset management, regional development, capacity building, lean program delivery and participatory action research. Mark’s research is often interdisciplinary and straddling natural and physical sciences, and engineering and social sciences.
