The focus of my research is on the movement and distribution of large predatory fishes and how they interact with their environment. I am specifically interested in how human-impacts shape fish community structure and how we can best manage and conserve these iconic groups of predators. Recent projects include a global assessment of shark and ray communities on tropical reefs, a large-scale experiment to determine the potential impacts of offshore seismic surveys on fish communities, as well as numerous surveys describing fish communities living around oil and gas structures destined for decommissioning.
